It’s easy to learn how to create a bar stool cushion without a back rest. First take a measurement of the seat and trace it on paper allowing some extra inches for seam. Two pieces are cut out from above and below after pinning the paper to the wrong side of the fabric. A strip of fabric three inches wide is now cut out. We need to fold the strip, inch it and then pin it properly. The long end of the thread is left to be sewed later. A safety pin is now used to pin the thread cord into the boxing strips. The three inch side of the bar stool cushion is now opened up and right sides joined. The joins are sewed, unfinished boxing strips attached with right sides facing each other and sewed again to the upper piece of fabric. The lower and upper part of the bar stool cushion are sewed with the boxing strip left inside and some space for filling in batting. The opening is hand sewn after the batting is filled. Your bar stool cushion is now finished and ready for use.
